Who We Are

Who We Are

Roj Women's Association is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Kurdish, Turkish, Cypriot Turkish, migrant, and refugee women in London. Established in 2004 by a group of Kurdish women from Turkey, who saw the severe discrimination and disempowerment faced by women in their communities due to gender bias and ethnic minority invisibility. Our gender-diverse approach caters to women and girls of all ages. We provide free advice, advocacy, wellbeing support, and counseling services in Turkish, Kurdish, and English. Through partnerships, we assist disadvantaged women in accessing English language classes, education, training, and employment opportunities. Our women-only services offer a holistic response to gender-based violence, providing a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where women and girls receive the support they need, knowing they will be heard and believed.
